생각하는 삶

주님께서는  

좋은 사람 만나기 전

옳지 못한 사람들을 많이 만나게 하시니

나중에 좋은 사람 만났을 때 그것이 얼마나 기쁜 선물인지

느끼게 하려 하심입니다.

행복 문이란 한쪽이 닫히면 또 다른 쪽이 열리는 법인데도

인간은 닫힌 쪽만 쳐다보고 있어,

새로이 열려진 다른 문은 보지 못하지요 

 

 

가장 좋은 친구란 툇마루에 서로 앉아 있어도,

그네를 그냥 밀고 있어도, 심지어 말없이 같이 거닐어도

어느 누구 보다 더 많은 대화를 나눈 듯 생각되는 사람이요

헤어지기 전 까지는 만남의 소중함을 알지 못하고,

다시 만날 땐 그동안의 아쉬움을 또 잊어버리게 하지요.  

 

 

겉모양만 보고 따르다간 속임수에 걸릴 수 도 있고

부유함만 좇아가면 재물은 안개처럼 사라지기도 하지요.

웃음이 있는 자를 좇아가세요,

단지 그 웃음 하나로 어둠도 밝혀 주려니.

당신의 마음을 웃음 짓게 할 그런 사람을 찾아보세요.

향기로운 행복으로 당신을 충만하게 하소서  

 

 

많은 시련 주시어

당신을 강하게 해 주시고

많은 슬픔으로

당신을 더욱 인간적이게 해 주시고

넘치는 희망으로 당신에게 기쁨 주소서

항상 다른 사람의 입장에 서서 생각하게 하소서

내게 마음 상할 일은, 남에게도 역시 상처를 준답니다.

가장 행복한 사람은 가장 좋은 것을 가지는 사람이 아니라

모든 일에 순리를 따르는 사람입니다. 

 

 

지나간 것을 잊어 버려야

밝은 미래가 있나니

지난날의 실패나 번민을 날려 버리지 않고서는

마음의 평온을 찾기 어렵 습니다. 

 

 

당신이 태어날 때

당신은 혼자 울고 있었지만

주위의 모든 사람은 웃고 있었지요. 

 

 

이 세상 살다갈 때는

당신만 혼자 웃고 눈을 감지만

모든 사람은

당신을 위해 울 수 있는 그런 삶을 살아야 합니다.

Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people

before meeting the right one

so that when we finally meet the right person,

we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

When the door of happiness closes,

another opens, but often times we look so long

at the closed door that we don't see the one

which has been opened for us.

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit

on a porch and swing with, never say a word,

and then walk away feeling like it was the best

conversation you've ever had.

It's true that we don't know what we've got until

we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know

what we've been missing until it arrives.

Don't go for looks; they can deceive.

Don't go for wealth; even that fades away.

Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes

only a smile to make a dark day seem bright.

Find the one that makes your heart smile.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet,

enough trials to make you strong,

enough sorrow to keep you human,

enough hope to bring you joy.

Always put yourself in another's shoes.

If you feel that it hurts you.

it probably hurts the other person, too.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have

the best of everything; they just make the most of

everything that comes along their way.

The brightest future will always be based

on a forgotten past, you can't get on well in life

until you let go of past failures and heartaches. 

 

 

When you were born,

you were crying and everyone around you was smiling.

Live you life so that when you die,

you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying
